Adding large content

I appreciated the addition you made to 1970 South African Grand Prix, but additions usually require citations, otherwise they might get removed. Don't worry, you may like to take a look at WP:Referencing for beginners for guidelines if you don't know how to cite a source. Anyway, I hope you enjoy editing this encyclopaedia! Your recent additions to Formula One articles

I have removed your edits to race articles in the 1970 Formula One season for three main reasons. First and foremost, the text you have added appears to be almost verbatim, or at least heavily based on the narration of your documentary video, based on what samples of it I can find online. This is a copyright infringement, you cannot simply copy what someone else has written or said. This alone is grounds for removing the content you have added. However, further problems include the fact that much of your edit is heavily biased and opinionated, although most certainly not from your opinion, but likely from the opinions expressed in the documentary that you have copied. Wikipedia is to remain neutral as an encyclopedia, we cannot declare that things were good or bad for certain drivers or teams. Please see WP:POV for further information on this. Finally, the specific drivers for each team at each race are usually not necessary to cover, we have an article on the entire season (1970 Formula One season) which can easily cover which drivers drove for which teams. The result of every participant in the race is also not necessary.

We welcome your enthusiasm over Formula One and your intended participation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Formula One, but I suggest in the future that you become more acquainted with Wikipedia's guidelines before making such large edits in the future. The359 (Talk) 08:12, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
