Featured article review of Supreme Court of the United States
Supreme Court of the United States has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. Checkuser
I added my name to the checkuser requests list. I understand that you are opposed to the process being done this way and I must say, I'm not sure this is a good approach. That said, I'm not sure what would be a good approach, assuming more checkusers are required. Perhaps admins requesting checkusers frequently, though most cases of sockpuppetry can be resolved without RFCUs. --Yamla 04:13, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Civility
I was impressed by the civility I've seen in your comments and discussions, and just wanted to leave a note of appreciation. Comments like yours, such as at the RfA talk pages, keep me (and probably a lot of other users, as well) from getting too discouraged over not-so-civil comments. Thanks again. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 19:24, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Re: School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Hi, thanks for helping out a couple of months ago with splitting the article into 2 sections, but I just noticed that Art Institute of Chicago and School of the Art Institute of Chicago share the same talk pages. Can they be separated or is this how it should be to retain the history of discussion? --SquatGoblin 08:14, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
Photograph Dispute on the B-36 Article Page
This particular issue goes awhile back. I've done the suggested advice and let the situation cool down before I attempt to resolve this situation.
This is the problem, the user Rogerd has been trying to put his personal photograph on the B-36 article. He does not hide the fact that he took it since it is featured on his personal photograph gallery http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Rogerd/photo_gallery
I feel very strongly that he is bias towards his photograph versus the official U.S. Air Force photograph taken of the same aircraft, which in my opinion, is of better quality and is not crooked. In addition, this photograph does not show any museum spectators and does not obsecure the aircraft from view and shows more of the aircraft http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:060315-F-1234P-001.jpg
I feel that I was unfairly overwhelmed by his inner circle of users on Wiki and the dispute is still unresolved in my opinion.

Template:ArbCom candidate
Hi Flcelloguy. You created {{ArbCom candidate}} for the January 2006 Arbcom elections and said you would delete it when those elections were over. The format the candidate stats are listed in doesn't seem to have been used in the most recent election, so is there any more use, or would you like to delete it now? Better source request for Image:Gavel.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gavel.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. MECU≈talk 15:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Simple Wiktionary
Thanks for your past work on SE Wikt. I've set a goal of 2,000 words by the end of the month and I'm hoping you'll help us reach it.--BrettR 17:10, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Oversight
Hello. I am posting this message on your talk page, as you are identified as an individual with oversight permission on the English Wikipedia. On July 7, I sent a request for oversight to the appropriate email address. On July 8, that request was partially completed. Unfortunately, since that time, my (several) requests for follow-up have gone without reply. On July 18, I posted a message to the talk page for Oversight, which has not yet received a response. If you could please take a look at that message, and if you could please assist me with the remainder of the original request, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you! j talk 20:52, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Millipore
Hello, on 5 March 2006 you deleted Millipore Corporation in a move to Millipore Corp. It was subsequently deleted as a copyvio. Consequently somebody then hijacked the Millipore disambig page instead. This is one of the largest companies in the world, a long-standing S&P 500 company. As part of the Wikipedia missing articles project, I intend to rewrite the article with refs as a stub, as Millipore Corporation, and to restore the disambig page.Steven Russell 18:38, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Missing image Image:Arowanacele4.jpg
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Arowanacele4.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Arowanacele4.jpg is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Arowanacele4.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 03:31, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Possibly unfree Image:Gavel.jpg
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Gavel.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. Image copyright problem with Image:FSYO.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:FSYO.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 04:51, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Orlando Sentinel.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Orlando Sentinel.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:41, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto
I have nominated Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Flcelloguy! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 13 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- John Weisbrod - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Terence Sellers - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hello! I recently created a village pump proposal and request for bot approval for a bot that automatically updates editcounts for use in userboxes, templates and such. We are currently discussing the benefits and drawbacks of such a bot, as well as various different ways in which it could be implemented. Since you are a member of WikiProject edit counter I thought you may be interested in participating, your input at the discussions would be very welcome. - EdoDodo talk 07:59, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia's tagline
Hi. I noticed that you participated in a 2005/2006 discussion and straw poll on whether or not the tagline at the top of all Wikipedia articles should be changed from "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" to "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit". I don't know if you're still interested in this issue or not, but this exact change has been proposed once again, this time at the Village pump, and there is currently an RFC (Request for Comment) on the subject where it is being discussed. Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity
Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Non-free rationale for File:SnowFallingOnCedars.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:SnowFallingOnCedars.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 14:33, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
