Introduction
Infolegale is a French company founded in 2008, whose main activity is the production, aggregation and distribution of legal, financial, capital and reputational information on companies and their directors.
In particular, it integrates all the legal notices published in the SHALs (French authorized sources of legal information about companies).
History
Infolegale was founded on 15 March 2008 by Frédéric Julien[1] and Bertrand Laffay[2] in Lyon, France. In 2011, it moved into the Britannia offices in Lyon's Part Dieu business district (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France).
In 2021, Bertrand Laffay and Frédéric Julien bought out their shareholders[3].
In 2022, the NextStage[4] investment fund acquired a stake in the company, enabling Infolegale to acquire Covline[5] (a cash management software publisher).
Products and Services
Infolegale distributes digital solutions for controlling fraud[6] and solvency risk, as well as for managing compliance processes in line with the so-called Sapin 2 law (French law on transparency, the fight against corruption and the modernisation of economic life), via a SaaS platform.
The company focuses on helping to identify the commercial partners of client companies through its solutions for assessing and securing third-party risks and managing the compliance of B2B relationships.
The French company Infolegale collects, processes and interprets legal, financial, capital and reputational data from both public and private sources.
Contributions
In april 2020, during Covid-19 sanitary crisis, Infolegale predicted an increase of business failures and determined that companies with less than 5 employees and with sales of less than €500.000 were more likely to experience it. The sectors most affected were retail (23% of cases), construction and public works (20%), bars and restaurants (12%), hairdressers and body care specialists (6%) and advertising agencies (6%)[7].
