Background

The event will be held at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is the first PLE held in the city in 24 years.

Survivor Series is an annual gimmick pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network event, produced every November by WWE since 1987. The second longest running pay-per-view event in history (behind WWE's WrestleMania), it is one of the promotion's five biggest events of the year, along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank.[1][2] The event is traditionally characterized by having Survivor Series matches, which are tag team elimination matches that typically features teams of four or five wrestlers against each other.[3] On September 19, 2022, however, WWE executive Triple H announced that instead of Survivor Series matches, the 2022 event would feature two WarGames matches, one each for the men and women that would be 5-versus-5, marking the first time for a main roster WWE event to feature the match.[4] The 2022 event was in turn renamed as Survivor Series: WarGames.[5] WWE's developmental brand NXT previously held an annual WarGames event from 2017 to 2021.

On August 1, 2024, Triple H announced that it was a done deal to bring this year's event to Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canadaa.[6] This will be the first Survivor Series to be held in Vancouver and the first pay-per-view event that the WWE (then known as the World Wrestling Federation) in Vancouver since Rock Bottom: In Your House that took place in 1998 in what was then General Motors Place.

Storylines

The event will include matches that resulted from scripted storylines. Results were predetermined by WWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands,[7][8] while storylines were produced on WWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.[9]
