Beginning its journey in the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry in 1988, Shanta Group went on to build a number of pioneering businesses, including Shanta Garments Ltd, Shanta Industries Ltd, Shanta Washworks Ltd, GDS Chemicals Ltd, and Shanta Denims Ltd. Shanta is also a significant founding member and main shareholder of the STS Group, which is responsible for promoting the renowned Evercare Hospital Dhaka (formerly Apollo Hospitals Dhaka), International School Dhaka (ISD), and Delhi Public School, Dhaka. In 2015, Shanta Group entered the financial services sector of Bangladesh through Shanta Securities Limited with the intention of raising the bar for stock trading in the country.
Since 1991, Shanta has been actively engaged in a number of projects, encompassing itself and the STS Group. Its contributions to the country's education sector includes construction of the 200,000 sqf International School Dhaka (ISD) in Bashundhara, and the 125,000 sqf Delhi Public School in Uttara. It has also built state-of-the-art RMG factories that serve as the epicenter of Shanta Industries Ltd, Shanta Denims Ltd, and Shanta Washworks Ltd. The group also worked on building Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, the nation's first 550,000 sqf multidisciplinary super-specialty hospital.
With the intention of establishing excellence and innovation in the real estate sector of Bangladesh, the group founded Shanta Holdings Limited in 2005. The company operates with a mission of changing the lifestyle of the local populace by offering contemporary, ergonomically designed, and aesthetically pleasing residential and commercial spaces.

Mr. Khondoker Monir Uddin (Founder, Managing Director)
At the Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka, Mr. Monir earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees with honors. The STS Group was founded by Mr. Monir, who also serves as its managing director. He is the Managing Director of Shanta Securities Limited as well as the sponsor Director and former Chairman of Dhaka Bank Limited.
Mrs. Jasmine Sultana (Director)
Mrs. Jasmine Sultana, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Dhaka and has been a significant shareholder in Shanta Holdings Limited for the past decade. She served as the former chairman of Dhaka Bank Limited. She is also honored by the government of Bangladesh as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) for her services.
Mr. Saif Khondoker (Director)
The University of Toronto awarded Mr. Saif Khondoker a BBA with a concentration in Strategic Management, as well as an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. In addition, he holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. In addition to his active participation in the company's management and executive decision-making, he also serves as Chairman of Shanta Asset Management Ltd.
Ms. Mayesha Khondoker (Director)
The founder and managing director of Shanta Multiverse and Shanta Lifestyle is Ms. Mayesha Khondoker. Ms. Khondoker earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from York University with a specialization in marketing, and she is currently working on her MBA at the Warwick Business School of the University of Warwick. Ms. Khondoker supervised the creation of an internal communications team while serving as the Head of Marketing at Evercare Hospitals in Dhaka before joining Shanta.
In addition to founding Shanta Multiverse Ltd. in 2016 and signing a global franchise deal with Marble Slab Creamery of the USA, Ms. Khondoker also established The White Canary Cafe business that same year. The company presently has 5 locations spread out over the city. In 2020, she and the managing director established Shanta Lifestyle Ltd. a Shanta subsidiary that offers full interior design solutions in collaboration with architects and global lifestyle companies like Natuzzi, Molteni & C, Lixil, Lutron, Cattelan Italia, and others.
