by removing 'duly'. That wording seemed to imply that the Daily Telegraph newspaper was the direct cause of the abolishion of the Secratryship of State for Scotland: fine newspaper though it may be, that's perhaps a slight over estimation.

Suggest removing the point about the 'majority' of former cabinet members remaining as Privy Councillors If the link to the PC is followed, the convention is that once appointed, PC members are members for life. 'Majority' is thus misleading as, barring disgrace, they 'all' are.
