Mate Balota

Mate Balota (28 September 1898, in Rakalj – 17 February 1963, in Zagreb), born Mijo Mirković, was a prominent Croatian poet, novelist and economist. Tone Peruško defined him "the greatest Istrian after Labin's Matija Vlačić."[1]
