Spennymoor railway station was a railway station that served the Spennymoor, County Durham, England from 1845 to 1952 on the East Coast Main Line.

History
The station opened in November 1845 by the North Eastern Railway. The station was situated in between Bishop Auckland and Ferryhill stations and on the east side of Carr Street, formerly on the A6074. The station was first served by a market train to Byers Green in November 1845 with a daily service running to an unnamed terminus. This terminus closed in 1 June 1878. The station was used for football special trains until its closure in 1952. The station closed completely on 2 May 1966.[1]
