Marlies Schild: Difference between revisions

After Schild tore ligaments in her right knee on 20 December 2012 in Sweden, it was announced that she would miss most of the [[2013 Alpine Skiing World Cup|2013]] season, including the [[FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2013|2013 World Championships]] in [[Planai|Schladming]].<ref name=msiofwc>{{cite web|url=http://www.skiracing.com/?q=node/21006|magazine=Ski Racing|title=Marlies Schild injured, out for World Champs|date=21 December 2012}}</ref> On 13 February, Schild announced her plans to compete in the [[FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2013 – Women's slalom|slalom]] three days later, only 58 days after the injury.<ref name=standard>{{cite web|url=http://derstandard.at/1360681333554/Schild-Schritt-fuer-Schritt-im-Plan|publisher=derstandard.at|title=Marlies Schild tritt zur Titelverteidigung an|date=13 February 2013|language=German}}</ref> She managed a top ten result with a ninth-place finish.
