Originally on a mission to explore anomalies in the known fluidic space, players will soon find themselves stranded in an unexplored area of the fluidic space. Species 8472, indigenous to the fluidic space, had been trapping various species in the fluidic space for research purposes. Realising the danger of the situation the main objective of the mission shifts from exploring the fluidic space to survival.
