El Niño (opera): Difference between revisions

The work is scored for [[soprano]], [[mezzo-soprano]] and [[baritone]] soloists, a trio of [[counter-tenor]]s, a forty-five piece [[orchestra]] (which includes two [[guitar]]s and a [[sampling keyboard]]), [[SATB]] chorus, and children’s chorus. The work can be performed either as a fully staged production or as a concert oratorio. The fullyoriginal semi-staged production pieceby [[Peter Sellars]] includes [[dance]] and [[film]] elements. A new production will be mounted at [[Spoleto Festival USA]] in May 2014, createddirected by [[PeterJohn SellarsLa Bouchardière]].
