It starts south of [[Grande Prairie, Alberta|Grande Prairie]], at the bridge of [[Alberta Highway 40|Highway 40]] over [[Wapiti River]]. It passes South of [[O'Brien Provincial Park]], then through the hamlet of [[Grovedale, Alberta|Grovedale]]. It is used by Forestry and the Oil and Gas industry working in the area of the Wapiti River valley, as well as for recreational use
