In April [[1922]], a Daimler HireOne [[de Havilland DH.18]]A aircraft, (tail number G-EAWO) was destroyedtransferred whenfrom it[[Instone collidedAir Line]] to [[Daimler Airway|Daimler Hire Ltd]] for operation on the Croyden-Paris route until the [[De Havilland DH.34]]s which Daimler had on order could be delivered. However, on [[4 April]] [[1922 in midairaviation|1922]], two days after Daimler commenced operations with the aircraft, it collided with a [[Farman F.60]]|Farman Goliath]] over [[Picardie]], France,<ref name="jacksonv2"/> {{convert|60|miles|km|0}} north of Paris.
