Balkan is a region, not cultural region. There are many different ethnicities on Balkan that do not share culture such as Greeks and Slovenians so calling it a cultural region is incorrect.

80% of Croatia is located on Balkan Peninsula. Saying Istria or Dalmatia are Central Europe is geographically impossible and incorrect.
