On the left of the screen the users emails are shown, in the middle at the top there is an input box that acts as search box or as an input box that user can use to input [[URL]]s. Right below the input box is thumbnail images of four favorite web pages (similar to the fashion [[Opera web browser]] shows its speed dial). To the right of the screen the top is used by a media player, so you can listen to you music and the controls are presented to easily changing a song. Right below the media player is a photo viewer. The MIE also comes with a tabbed interface for accessing other bundled applications similar to [[Asus EeePC]]'s custom interface for [[Xandros]] Linux.
