While I understand what the section is trying to say. (1) it is unsourced (2) It would be extremely unlikely the exactly the same number of people were to exit by both exits! If this phenomenon is true then it needs to be explained statistically and with sources to back up the statistics. -- PBS (talk) 00:37, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Proposing to merge sheeple into this article. It's a pejorative neologism referring to the same subject. Per WP:NOPAGE it seems relatively straightforward. &mdash; <samp><span style="font-size:90%;letter-spacing:1px;text-shadow:0px -1px 0px Indigo;">Rhododendrites</span> talk</samp> \\ 00:03, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

When we remove the original research and primary sources [4], [5] and [7] it will not lend undue weight to this article. <span style="background-color:#cee"><span style="color:#066;font-family:Symbol">w</span><span style="color:#066;font-family:Segoe Script">umbolo</span></span> <span style="color:#37C;font-family:webdings">^^^</span> 08:33, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Wiki wrong, no such thing as herd instinct or leader or crowd psyx etc. One can lead oneself, crowd etc or not doesn't matter. <!-- Template:Unsigned --><small class="autosigned">—&nbsp;Preceding unsigned comment added by Lyhendq (talk • contribs) 07:52, 23 September 2018 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->
That Thing That Birds Do.
Sheeple Suggested edit
Where in response to apparently invisible stimuli, an entire mass of birds takes to the sky (seemingly) simultaneously. Is this herd behavior or something else? If its something else, please let me know! 74.128.56.194 (talk) 11:53, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Herd Behavior in Economics
I came to this article searching for a short summary of Herding Behavior theories in Economics. Although is a small subset of "Herding Behavior", it has been widely studied phenomena in the last 25 years. I'm not active in Wikipedia and don't want to be active either, but I can suggest you some references. For example, here in wikipedia you have an article about Informational Cascades, which is a set of models that explain herding behavior (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_cascade). You can also review the classical paper of Schaferstein and Jeremy Stein (1990) in American Economic Review. You might want to consult with people working on the Economics Portal.

From the article...
Proposed merge with Symmetry breaking in herding behavior
The word is pluralia tantum, which means it does not have a singular form.
This article is basically a duplicate of a number of sections from Herd behavior; additionally, it's too minor of a topic to deserve its own article separate from Herd behavior. nneonneo talk 18:55, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

There is the term, sheeperson.

There also being a plural form of that term, sheepersons.

What's the difference between herd bahaior and conformation?
There's also an article conformation. I don't know what's the main difference between this article and that? Zzzwik (talk) 07:25, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
