Lin-gang international talent apartments meet housing needs
In the Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai — the World Laureates Association (WLA) Science Community is gradually taking shape.
Moreover, the area's international talent community complex has been completed and is now up and running, with its first resident moved in.
To meet the housing needs of personnel at various levels, Lin-gang Special Area has established a tiered housing allocation mechanism.
Over the past five years, more than 5,200 residential apartments have been designated, providing housing for a total of 6,418 people.
Focusing on high-level talent, the Yunhuiyuan International Talent Apartment consists of five buildings with 525 apartments, offering one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, each equipped with smart home systems.
Located within the WLA Science Community, the Lin-gang Center — the permanent site for the World Laureates Forum — is now operational.
Of the four laboratory projects in the area, three have been completed and successfully passed inspection.
The entire region is being positioned as an international hub for innovation and collaboration, aiming to create an innovative, communicative and livable garden-style community.
Over the past five years, the Lin-gang Special Area has attracted over 97,000 top-flight people, with an annual growth rate of 97.23 percent in recruitment.
Currently, the talent housing plan in the Lin-gang Special Area includes a housing purchase subsidy policy for outstanding folks — offering up to 5 million yuan ($702,020) in subsidies for eligible personnel in key industries and companies.
Additionally, the settlement subsidy — which covers a broader range of individuals — offers one-time subsidies of 10,000 yuan, 20,000 yuan and 80,000 yuan respectively for qualified bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctorate graduates who have just started working in the Lin-gang Special Area.
