Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area Administration and Tencent Cloud, the cloud subsidiary of technology company Tencent Holdings, signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, on Sept 4.

This collaboration aims to leverage Tencent Cloud's expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) technology and its global ecosystem to jointly explore areas such as the integration of industry and education, collaboration between digital government and enterprises, major business travel industries, and cross-border data flows, thereby accelerating Lin-gang's transformation into a hub for the attraction of global talent and cooperation in international innovation.

Lin-gang Special Area prioritizes the development of digital economy sectors centered on the AI and data industries.
