SoundCloud introduces new merch store where artists keep 100% of the profits
SoundCloud will also take care of distribution, social promotion and fan engagement
SoundCloud has launched a new merch marketplace, called the SoundCloud Store, that allows artists list their own designs to sell to their fans.
Artists can submit a design, and SoundCloud will create mockups for them, create the products, and handle shipping. The German company will also handle social media marketing for your new merch, and better yet, they won’t take a fee from artists, passing on 100% of profits from the sales as things stand.
For now, the SoundCloud Store is only available to select Next Pro artists, SoundCloud’s paid-for subscription tier that offers more pro features and functionality. At launch, the store features designs from artists like Wiz Khalifa, Denzel Curry and Armani White, and is open to fans in North America and Europe. The Store will also sell more generic SoundCloud merch for fans of the platform.

Earlier this year it was reported that SoundCloud is currently seeking a buyer, priced at over $1bn.
