TransLink is hiring for dozens of well-paying jobs this winter
TransLink is hiring for dozens of well-paying jobs around Metro Vancouver, and if you’re ready to shift your career into high gear, they come with a variety of benefits and competitive wages.
Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) has posted an open call for Conventional Bus and Community Shuttle drivers, with applications being accepted until January 10, 2025.
TransLink positions are not limited to being behind the wheel. Other roles available include those in IT, engineering and project management, and technical and trades.
Wages for conventional transit operators start at $28.26 and can rise to $40.37 with a work schedule of 37.5 hours a week.
Benefits include medical and dental coverage, paid vacation, a free transit pass, and paid training.
As a community shuttle operator, wages are still competitive but slightly less than those of a conventional transit operator.
Wages start at $24.28 per hour, and you can earn up to $33.87 per hour. The shuttle operator role is also a casual position.
“Over 900,000 passengers rely on Coast Mountain Bus Company every day to get them to work, school and all of the activities that make life on the Lower Mainland so rich and exciting,” said CMBC online. “Our more than 5,400 dedicated employees keep the buses, the people and in so many ways the vibrant pace of this city moving.”
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to participate in a hiring event on Saturday, January 25.
Selected applicants chosen to proceed to the next steps will be invited to attend a second hiring event on Saturday, February 8.
TransLink also has several other positions to be filled, ranging from Data Centre Design Analysts to Safety Advisors, Police Communications Operators and SeaBus Operations Assistants.
