A Dairy Queen in Langley decided to take advantage of recent political news to offer customers a great deal on a burger.
Pictures of the deal went viral on Monday on X and then flooded other social media services.
The sign reads “Trudeau Resignation Special $2 Burgers.”

Daily Hive heard from a staff member at the Langley Dairy Queen in question who informed us that the owner is planning on running the promotion until March.
BC Conservative MLA Harman Bhangu went to the Dairy Queen location to take advantage of the deal and fire a playful shot at Justin Trudeau.
“Guess even Justin Trudeau’s resignation is finally helping Canadians save a buck—took him long enough! #TrudeauResignation,” he wrote on X.
Made it to Dairy Queen in Langley City with my buddy Augustino to grab the $2 burger deal.

Initially, some were questioning whether the sign and deal were even real.
Wait is this real

Others had some fun with the sign.
“At least have it be ice cream if you’re going to be that cold so soon,” another X user said.
The Langley Dairy Queen location is one of DQ’s Chill and Grill spots.
I bet some Liberal supports wish that DQ would just chill

While many people seem to suggest that they don’t go to Dairy Queen for the burgers, the chain does offer several signature steakburgers, including the backyard bacon ranch, bacon two-cheese deluxe, FlameThrower, mushroom cheeseburger, and original cheeseburger.
The flip side of the sign says that there’s a 4 pm $5 Poilievre poutine deal.
Some people felt the need to leave Google reviews in light of the political burger deal, which has actually led to a bit of political arguing in the review section.
“It’s disappointing and unprofessional when a company wades into politics needlessly,” said one review.
It’s also led to some support from customers.
“It’s disappointing when people use this as a platform to spew hate because the owner offered a special that most Canadians are happy about. If you aren’t happy about the liberals, go be unhappy. Leave this business alone! We always go here and I will support this business even more now after realizing the owner/management are likeminded people,” said another Google reviewer.
Another review said, “All the Liberal trolls trying to disparage this place.”
We’ve contacted Dairy Queen’s corporate office, which is currently working on getting us a comment on the political burger deal.
