Cindy Dumevski | Kinder teacher 🇨🇦 on Instagram: "📌 Literacy Centre -small group instructions This was a fan favourite! A bin of mystery objects, whiteboards, markers, and fun with an educator made this a winning activity! They loved counting out the sounds in each word and then identifying the corresponding letters. Note: There are lots of ways to stretch out the sounds we hear in words. Stretching it out the way I did in the video is just our way to do it. I am honestly still learning like so many of you, so try things out and see what works best for you. We collected a basket of random objects. Each item was a simple decidable word for our students to sound out and write. We modified this activity for our learners. *Learners that need more letter/sound practise, had to pick out Letter Sound Activities, Sounding Out Words, Random Objects, Phonemic Awareness Activities, Blending Sounds, Letter Sound, Small Group Activities, Beginning Sound, Small Group Instruction

We tapped out the individual phonemes (sounds) then rolled the snowball as we said the word. These #snowballs can be used countless ways in your classroom! There is a link for them in my #amazon storefront in my bio.
