Description
Čeština: "Sněhulka" - autor: Kurt Gebauer (* 18. srpna 1941), Technika: galvanoplastika; rok 2014; přibližná výška: 2 metry; Umístění: U hlavní cesty ve svahu v těsné blízkosti u Gočárových domků - ZOO Praha - Troja. V období druhé světové války byl ředitelem pražské ZOO (od 1. listopadu 1939 do 16. července 1946) plukovník MVDr. Jan Vlasák (* 1893 - 1957). S pomocí svojí manželky v roce 1942 dokázal jako první na světě uměle odchovat mládě ledního medvěda. Dostalo jméno "Sněhulka". K poctě plukovníka MVDr. Jana Vlasáka plastiku Sněhulky ztvárnil v roce 2014 český výtvarník a vysokoškolský pedagog - emeritní profesor - Akademický sochař Kurt Gebauer.

During World War II was the Director of the Prague ZOO (from November 1, 1939 to July 16, 1946) Mr. Colonel Jan Vlasák (* 1893 - 1957) DVM. In 1942, he became the first person (with the help of his wife) in the World to successfully artificially breed a young polar bear cub, named "Snow white". Her statue, the work of the Czech designer and university emeritus professor - Academic sculptor - Kurt Gebauer, will remind us of him perpetuity.
