Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The altitude of Nou Fonts is 2 861 metres. It is the highest summit in this part of the eastern Pyrnees, along with Pic de l'Infern (2 869m) and Pic del Gegant (2 881m). Gegant is the flat-topped summit in the far distance (centre); and Infern is the pointed peak just to the right of it in the image.

Pas dels Porcs is a pass at the head of the Valleta valley. The mountain to the left of that pass is Pic del Racó Gros (2 779m).

The pass lies on the southern border of the Carança massif, with (essentially) mountains in Ordovician gneiss to the left, and mountains in pre-Cambrian (Ediacaran) schist and marble to the right.
