English: British Army Lt. Gen. James Bucknall, the International Security Assistance Force Deputy Commander, visited Forward Operating Base Gamberi, Nov. 2. The 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team welcomed Bucknall to the FOB and presented a comprehensive breakdown of Task Force Thunderbird's overarching mission across Laghman province and into other regions of Regional Command East. Bucknall responded with, "I wanted to understand what is happening in Laghman, and I particularly wanted to understand how this great brigade here was performing. I've come away with a really good impression - great progress being made and great momentum being built and I'm hugely impressed." |
