Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Halite, Anhydrite
Locality: Poland (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: 5.5 x 3.2 x 2.4 cm.
An UNUSUAL, CLASSIC and showy specimen from one of the famous salt mines of Poland. White to gray anhydrite balls on matrix are clearly visible through the blocky, TV screen-like, water-clear, elongated halite cube! The anhydrite balls are richly and aesthetically scattered on the matrix, which very interestingly covers only a portion of the back of the halite cube. The matrix-less portion of the rock salt reveals how really clear the crystal is! The halite cube is essentially pristine. Ex. Dave and Emily Stoudt Collection.
