Français : Au centre, un homme s’apprête à s’asseoir pour raconter son histoire. A droite de la composition, un officier anglais est attablé avec quelques amis. À l’arrière-plan à gauche, un hussard anglais vide une chopine. Et pourtant dans un coin de la pièce, au premier plan sur la gauche de la composition, des débris d’uniforme attirent l’attention. On y reconnaît un casque de Dragon, un Shako d’infanterie ou encore une flamme de lancier polonais, vestiges de la Grande Armée vaincue quelques mois plus tôt. |
