The first time in Maine for these stealth fighters. They had just landed and the jet streams are visible behind each of them. Here they are taxiing into parking positions. The previous photo of another plane was distorted by the hot jet stream. The cannot be exported. 195 were manufactured at a cost to us tax payers of 66.7 billion US dollars. The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is a single-seat, twin-engine, all weather stealth tactical fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). The result of the USAF's Advanced Tactical Fighter program, the aircraft was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but has additional capabilities including ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles.
