Summary
[edit]DescriptionEcoli metapopulation.jpg | E. coli Metapopulation for an array of 85 (only 10 are shown) Micro Habitat Patches (MHPs) for 7 hours in time. Frames (taken every 10 minutes) are stack from top to bottom as a kymograph. Cells are expressing green fluorescent protein through a high copy plasmid. Left pannel: original data of fluorescent intensity. Right Pannel: intra MHP averaged fluorescent intensity for each MHP. Color map ranges from red (~ 10.000 cels) to blue (few cells). MHPs are 100 microns wide and 25 microns deep. 2 micron-wide corridors 50 micron long connect MHPs as a one dimensional patchy landscape. |
