Object history
English: Rhoden was generated in 1244 around a castle of the Counts of Waldeck, gained city rights in 1294 and was fortified. The oldest seal from about 1300, but witnessed not before the 16th century already displayed the current pattern of the arms. A secret seal from the 15th century just displayed a 7-point star. Finally a kettle hook was added in the 18th century city seal. The arms were overtaken from Diemelstadt.
