Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Peroxynitrite causes the nitration of solvent-exposed tyrosine-74 in cytochrome c

(indicated by the white arrow) and triggers a protein conformational change. The orange arrow indicates the movement of methionine-80 away from the heme as part of the displacement of a flexible loop encompassing amino acids 70-85.
