English: Spc. Donte Damper, of Twentynine Palms, Calif., (right), a member of the 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, rehearses for a team live-fire exercise in Rukla, Lithuania, Nov. 18, 2014. Members of the 2/8 Cavalry Regiment practiced moving as a team, advancing over desert-like terrain and targeting pop-up silhouettes in preparation for the next day’s exercise, to include their Lithuanian partners. Members of the 1st BCT, 1st Cavalry and 2nd Cavalry Regiment are in Lithuania as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a multinational combined-arms exercise taking place across the Baltics and Poland to enhance interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and to demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
