WLF Germany

Good morning :-) thanks for organizing WLF. Germany wants to join WLF :-)

I have some questions:

  • Is there a reason why there are upload-campaigns for every year (Campaign:wlf_2021; Campaign:wlf_2022, Campaign:wlf_2023). at wle and wlm the upload campaigns remain every year the same?
  • we would like to create an own upload-campaing for germany. is it ok? it would be similiar to the international. there would be only one differnce, the uploader needn't to choose the country.

@Z thomas Thank you for taking a lead from Germany. The reason for year wise upload wizard is because of various changes in categories and templates every year. Feel free to create a local upload campaign there will be new changes in this year upload wizard too so please be updated with the changes.

@Tiven2240: I added Germany at Module:WL data it's necessary for wikiloves.toolforge.org/ normaly I would have added all the other countries too. But I don't know the period when they participate. I added all countries with 1st Feb to 31st march. you can change it, if you have better information :-)

National contest and international contest

@Tiven2240 at WLE and WLM the national winners are given to the international jury. And the international jury just judges these pictures.

Is it the same with WLF? Or does international Jury choose the best pictures from ALL pictures? Greetings Z thomas 10:18, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Z thomas. At WLF the international jury chooses the best from all the images uploaded during the contest irrespective of the country. This is done so that the participants with no local country organiser get a chance to win in the competition.
