Not clear what value this photo has beyond the text, which is only interesting if it's interesting enough to be copyrighted, and unless the Flickr uploader was the same person as the cooperative that owned the copyright on the text, they were in the wrong releasing it under a license, which means we are in the wrong hosting it. Apologies if this nomination is not formatted correctly or is incomplete; assistance in such a case would be most appreciated. Hijiri88 (talk) 13:34, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keep No copyright violation. The script says "秋篠宮眞子内親王殿下 小室圭様 ご婚約内定おめでどうございます。". {{PD-text}} can apply . Also, there is no privacy concern because Princess Mako of Akishino and Kei komuro are famous persons. The KFC logo may be considered as de minimis. Darklanlan (talk) 01:43, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Keep "ご婚約内定おめでとうございます。" very simple frequently-used expressions (Congratulations signs). And, They are few words. --Benzoyl (talk) 02:01, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Darklanlan and Benzoyl: What purpose does the image serve outside of showing the text in question and perhaps the KFC logo? Also, I think we should probably wait for the opinion of someone who doesn't also think the text included in File:Petbottled water shortage.jpg is a frequently enough used expression that it's cool for Commons. (Just FTR, that file in all of its presumable copyright violation is transcluded on Benzoyl's user page, unlike the deletion requests linked in bad faith here.) Of course, if we can't find any purpose for use, then it should be deleted. Darklanlan (talk) 04:52, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, the KFC logo does not look anything like the examples listed at Commons:De minimis. The same might not be true for the poster, but clearly legible, presumably copyrighted text 胡椒&ガーリックで、あとひく辛さ NEWあら挽き黒胡椒チキン is hardly PD-text. Those rationales may justify the other stuff like the 〇〇の〇〇手入れは9月24日… or the 大倉山記念館右に300m, but not the KFC stuff. Hijiri88 (talk) 02:57, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
clearly legible? Is it in Full size photo? In any case, KFC ad are not main subjects in this photo. Basically, Titled by Flickr uploader keyaki "ご婚約内定おめでとうございます". He (She) focus on it. --Benzoyl (talk) 03:12, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Commons:De minimis includes a number of examples of similar "background" objects on which there is clearly text, but what that text says is impossible to parse without consulting higher def images of the same text. The same is not true of this photo. Hijiri88 (talk) 05:11, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The phrase "あとひく辛さ" is commonly used. Most of short catchy slogans will not be copyrighted. (Tokyo High Court 平成13(ネ)3427, Intellectual Property High Court 平成17(ネ)10049 ) However, if someone use this slogan for his sales, the company may sue him for a tort case.
