English: Images of coats of arms that are painted in colors that do not represent the correct tincture. This means that either:
  • completely wrong colors are used (e.g. in a relief where the original stone colors are visble)
  • the author of the image used shades of colors too far off the usual heraldic colors (e.g. a light blue instead of azure)
  • further details were introduced by different shades of color which are not present in the correct coat of arms
  • Argent (white) elements are rendered as transparent instead
