English: A llama in the italian Alps. The Llama (Lama glama Linnaeus, 1758) is a domesticated South American camelid, widely used as a meat and pack animal by Andean cultures since the Pre-Columbian era.
Italiano: Un lama nelle Alpi italiane. Il lama (Lama glama Linnaeus, 1758) è un grosso camelide originario del Sudamerica. Talvolta, il termine "lama" viene utilizzato più genericamente per indicare tutte e quattro le specie sudamericane appartenenti alla famiglia Camelidae: il lama propriamente detto, la vigogna, l'alpaca e il guanaco.
