Français : Le maréchal Davout, qui vient d’ acheter la demeure de la rue St Dominique dont le porche est ici représentée (hôtel de Monaco), a reçu le titre de prince d’ Eckmühl le 15 août 1809. Il est également duc d’Auerstaedt. Selon le décret de Napoleon du 3 mars 1810, il porte sur sa demeure la mention Hôtel du Prince d’ Eckmühl et ses armes ici visibles.
