正從航空母艦上彈射起飛的F/A-18C黃蜂式戰機
F/A-18黃蜂式(Hornet)戰鬥攻擊機是美國海軍航空隊的主力,也是目前航空母艦戰鬥群裡配置最多的重要機種,其中F/A-18C是其單座型中期改良的版本,無論是在空戰或對地攻擊方面,黃蜂式戰機皆有非常優秀的表現。
圖中所見為一架隸屬於第113"蟄刺"攻擊戰鬥中隊(VFA-113 "Stingers")的F/A-18C從史坦尼斯號航空母艦(USS John C. Stennis CVN-74)的艦首彈射而出的畫面,而VFA-113事實上就是第一個正式裝備F/A-18的海軍航空隊單位。當時史坦尼斯號與搭載的第14航艦航空大隊(CVW-14)正常態性地配屬在阿拉斯加灣進行巡曳任務。拍攝日期為2004年6月1日。
