Image was copyrighted in Argentina on the URAA date of 1996-01-01, therefore copyright has been restored in the US. -M.nelson (talk) 20:24, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Keep per previous DR, based on community consensus about the URAA files (which stated "URAA cannot be used as the sole reason for deletion"). Moreover, the Freddy Mercury photo is in the PD in Argentina since 1-1-2011. I'm really tired of this type of DR... - Fma12 (talk) 21:32, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fma12: The purpose of that decision was to not disrupt photos which were already on Commons. Per the instructions at {{Not-PD-US-URAA}}, Files uploaded after [1 March 2012] which the template would apply to should be treated as other violations of the Commons:Licensing policy are. This file is copyrighted in the US and therefore a copyright violation; I'm surprised and disheartened that you are continuing to upload files that you know are copyrighted in the US. -M.nelson (talk) 22:18, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @M.nelson: Don't have to be diseheartened so this is not a matter of feelings. Be sure that I wouldn't upload a file if I knew it infringes any copyright. I have discussed this issue many times with different nominators and I'm a bit tired of it. Many of the PD-AR-URAA files are used in other wikipedias outside the English page (p.e. the Spanish one, among others) so I consider them useful for the project, and that's one of the reasons because I upload them. No disruptive intentions on my side. Fma12 (talk) 22:36, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
