Loose Parts Play

Loose parts are ideal for both indoor and outdoor play. Loose parts are materials and resources that have no pre-planned use and can be natural or synthetic. They can be moved, combined with other resources, lined up, deconstructed and constructed again. They don't have to be anything fancy. Allow children to use the continuous provision in a flexible way, with the space and time needed for them to play, explore. Above all - allow them to be creative! These are ideal for fine motor play too.
