The CHSN Teams and Partner Teams also partner with and are members of sports leagues, including the MLB, NBA, and NHL (“Leagues”).

Chicago Sports Network provides services to you and to our CHSN Teams, Partner Teams, and Leagues by broadcasting games and other CHSN Team, Partner Team, and League activities (“Events”) through multi-channel distribution (including through our website and app, over-the-air, and through our distribution arrangements), including providing interactive features and third party integrations, facilitating merchandise sales, hosting on-site events, and analyzing Event-related data and other data we collect to improve and personalize your fan experience.

When you interact with the Chicago Sports Network or otherwise use the Platform to interact directly with one of our CHSN Teams, Partner Teams, or Leagues, such as by watching a specific Event, we may share certain data with the applicable CHSN Team, Partner Team, or the applicable League, as further described below.

    2. Personal, Sensitive, and Non-Personal Data We Collect

We collect data about users of the Platform directly, automatically when you visit the Platform, and sometimes from third parties. Some of this data may be considered “personal information” or “personal data”, and some of which may be considered “sensitive”, under various applicable laws. We will also treat other information, including IP addresses and cookie identifiers, as “personal data” where required by applicable law and we will treat certain personal data as “sensitive data” as required by applicable law.

Note that we may de-identify or pseudonymize personal data so that it is non-personal, such as aggregating (such as combining it with data about other individuals) and/or or converting it to a code, sometimes using a function commonly known as “hash”, or otherwise removing characteristics that make the data personally identifiable to you. We will treat de-identified or pseudonymized data as non-personal to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law. If we combine non-personal data with personal data, then we will treat the combined information as personal data under this Privacy Policy.

    Data You Provide Directly

We may ask you to provide data directly, such as contact data (your name, physical address, email address, and phone number), demographic data (for example, your gender and similar information), and other data about you (for example, information about your preferences and interests).

You also have the option to store payment information for future purchases. We may use third party payment processors.

User Content and Submission Features. The Platform may permit you to submit or post photos, audio, video, text, files, social media posts, or other content (“User Content”) through interactive or other features, such as reviews, discussion forums, online chats, blog comments, gallery posts, or promotional activities (“Submission Features”).

Your submission of any User Content is subject to the Terms of Use for the Site (including the User Content and Acceptable Use terms) which give us the right to use your User Content, online or offline, in connection with our promotional activities. Personal information, such as your name, user name (from the Platform or your social media account), or where you reside, may be publicly displayed with your User Content. Others may access it, use it, and share it. We are not responsible for how others use User Content you submit or post. In addition, in connection with certain activities, your personal information may be disclosed publicly, for example, being identified as a winner of a sweepstakes or being awarded a prize.

Viewed Content. To do this, we must keep track of the content you have watched, including video titles, when you watched the content, and the point at which you stopped watching the content. We make recordings of that content, and connect that information to your profile, along with identifying all devices you use with your profile. The Platform also let you pause, rewind or fast-forward content. To do this, we must make recordings of the content you are watching and connect that information with your profile. The general categories of content you view may also be used to provide you with more relevant advertising to the extent permitted by applicable law. We may also collect information about ads you have viewed on the Platform.

You acknowledge that, if you choose to post any information about your viewing history on a third-party platform, or by liking or sharing any content, the Video Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (18 U.S.C. § 2710) (or any similar state law) does not apply. However, to the extent it does apply in any manner, you are providing your informed, written consent to the disclosure of that information pursuant to the Video Privacy Protection Act.
