Governor Hochul Names New AAPI Commission
The GNYCC celebrated Asian American & Pacific Islander “AAPI” Heritage Islanders Heritage Month with a recognition & awards ceremony at the NY headquarters of the Korean America Association of Greater NY on May 22nd . One of those recognized was Sibu Nair, Governor Kathy Hochul’s Deputy Director Of Asian Affairs.
Deputy Director Nair was with the Governor and GNYCC President Mark Jaffe as she announced her choices for the new AAPI Commission at an executive mansion luncheon on May 28th in Albany. The luncheon was followed by the first ever Nepali Day in Albany organized by GNYCC world trade committee co-chair Amit P Shah.
