Travel & Visa Information
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance, especially in light of our 21-day cancellation policy. Travel insurance can offer peace of mind by covering unforeseen circumstances. You can sign up for a policy with Chubb by clicking on this link (available to Singapore residents only).
A visa can be obtained on arrival for many nationalities (see list below) at a cost of IDR500,000 (approx S$50). Cash (SGD or IDR) is only accepted. Passport holders from APEC member countries and a few others can obtain a visa on arrival without any charge. Singapore Permanent Residents can travel to Bintan without a visa for a maximum stay of 4 days, provided they present their PR card upon arrival.
For travelers from nationalities not included in the list of 86 countries, we can apply for visas on your behalf. The Indonesian government charges a fee of approximately S$150 per person for this application, and the process takes 7 working days. We have a waitlist for dates sold out but please note that priority is given to our Island Club members. We release rooms around 12 months ahead. We give priority to our Island Club members to book rooms prior to release. The Island Club is our loyalty program which helps support The Island Foundation.
