President's Message

Welcome to Cypress College!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Cypress College! We are proud of our students, our alumni, and the amazing employees who help them reach new heights. In the recent past, Cypress College has been recognized as California’s best, and as one of the Aspen Institute’s Top 150 in the United States. Our students transfer to amazing universities in the California State University and University of California systems, as well as private universities such as Chapman, Stanford, and Cornell, among many others. At Cypress College, anything is possible.

We invite your participation in our programs, support offices, athletics, arts, campus clubs, in our resource centers such as Honors, Puente, Legacy, APIDA, Pride, Rising Scholars, and our (STEM)2/MESA center. By using this document, being attentive to campus emails, and our social media and campus website, we hope to connect you to all that Cypress College has to offer — especially so that we can help make your journey here successful. Along those lines, we are a California Guided Pathways college, which means it is our goal to provide you with the tools, knowledge, skills, and support to be successful here. The college is designated as an Hispanic Serving Institution, has been repeatedly recognized as an Equity Champion, and is focused on providing a friendly, helpful environment.

Cypress College has a vibrant community of faculty, counselors, staff, and administrators who are committed to your success. We all believe in helping you move ahead in your education, establish and advance in your career, and meet your life-long learning goals.

I encourage you to ask questions, let us know about your concerns, and — most importantly — let us help. Our motto is that “we take this journey together.” This phrase is our commitment to you that we are invested in your success because without it, we are not successful.
