National Book Award
El National Book Award («Premi Nacional del Llibre») és un premi literari dels Estats Units d'Amèrica, un dels més prestigiosos en llengua anglesa.[1] Establert el 1950,[2] aquest guardó recompensa obres literàries publicades durant l'any anterior al de la seva concessió en diferents categories (ficció, no-ficció, poesia, literatura infantil i juvenil i traducció literària). En el passat s'han concedit premis en altres categories que en l'actualitat han desaparegut. Es premien també autors pel conjunt de la seva trajectòria amb els guardons Medal of Distinguished Contribution to American Letters i Book Award.

Els guanyadors de cada categoria són seleccionats per un jurat de cinc membres, i la seva decisió es fa pública durant una cerimònia que es realitza cada any el mes de novembre. El guanyador rep un premi de 10.000 dòlars en metàl·lic, i una escultura de cristall.
