I wonder how many microseconds it would take an errant self-directed AI to launch the nukes after being prompted to ‘save the planet’.
I know it's tongue in cheek, but I'm so tired of this overwrought concern. A nuclear apocalypse is almost certainly worse for the planet's biosphere than letting humanity adapt at the slowest. Have we forgotten about nuclear winter?

Given the imperative "save the planet," I could see the AI embarking on a long term project to swing Earth into a more distant orbit within a few billion years.
