THE POSITION
Operative Office is seeking a talented and motivated Project Designer to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Project Designer, you will work in collaboration with the Design Principal and project team to design, coordinate and document mid-rise, affordable multi-family projects as well as community-serving civic and commercial projects through all phases of design. Candidates must exhibit strong, organization, communication, and critical thinking skills, as well as a well developed conceptual design approach.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum 2-5 years of professional design experience in an architecture office
- Strong design sense with strong graphic and technical skills including fluency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, rendering software (V-Ray, Enscape, or Twinmotion), physical model-making, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience designing and producing permit construction documents - experience with multifamily affordable housing a plus
- Experience engaging with project consultants
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to be involved in all aspects of a project
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
- Resident of Los Angeles or in the vicinity of Los Angeles required for a hybrid work environment with a minimum of three days per week in the office
- We require applicants to have the legal right and authorization in place to work in the US when applying for this position
