Charles IV de Luxembourg, Holy Roman Emperor was born on 14 May 1316 at Prague, Czech RepublicG.2 He was the son of Jean de Luxembourg, King of Bohemia and Elisabeth of Bohemia.3,4 He married, firstly, Blanche de Valois, daughter of Charles I de France, Comte de Valois and Matilda de Châtillon, in 1329.3 He married, secondly, Anne of Swidnica, daughter of Heinrich II of Swidnica , Duke of Swidnica, in 1353.4 He married, thirdly, Elisabeth von Pommern, daughter of Bogislaw V Herzog von Pommern and Elisabeth of Poland, in May 1363 at Slupsk, PolandG.4,2 He died on 29 November 1378 at age 62 at Prague, Czech RepublicG.2 He was buried at St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague, Czech RepublicG.2
He was also known as Karel.2 He succeeded as the Comte de Luxembourg in 1346.5 He gained the title of King Charles of Bohemia in 1346.4 He abdicated as Count of Luxemburg in 1353.5 He gained the title of Emperor Charles IV of the Holy Roman Empire in 1355.4

She died on 8 April 1143.
